This season is my favorite time of the year. The tradition of spending time with friends and family brings a sense of warmth and comfort. Growing up, we alternated holidays between my grandmothers and our home. I really enjoyed the holidays with the traditional southern style dinners my grandmother prepared with creamy macaroni and cheese, zesty collard greens, homemade biscuits and sweet potato pie. The holiday meals my mother prepared were a bit more refined as she used Gourmet and Bon Appetit magazines as her recipe guide for new, inventive ideas that included; roasted oyster stuffing, homemade chicken liver pate, crown rack of lamb, Turducken, and other delightful morsels. • Cut-out sugar cookies
